Got Milk?

We are now on week 2 with our sweet baby girl and I'm beginning to get the hang of a couple of things....breastfeeding and changing diapers. One of my friends said that for the first couple of months I would feel like a human pacifier and another friend described it as feeling like a dairy cow....well, they were both right on. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. It has been an incredible experience. Painful at times but really special...being close to my baby and knowing that God is allowing me to provide food for her. It is truly a bonding time for us.

Lily is getting cuter every day and her expressions are priceless! There have been several that I wanted to catch with the camera but they're gone before I can capture them. But, I know they will forever be kept in her mommy and daddy's heart and mind.....her little grin and when she furrows her brow with her finger by her mouth like she is really contemplating something important. I love to see her on her daddy's chest trying to crawl up him and watching him smile in adoration. Even with the challenges of being new parents, these past 10 days have been some of the best days of my life!
Here are a few photos from the past week...
our 'lil pumpkin (my friend Kristi sent her this adorable outfit)
Dabney (my childhood friend from Olive Branch) and Amanda (my neighbor) came by for a visit
Lily loved taking a nap in her Aunt Dabney's arms
Her Maw Maw loves to sing to her
