My sunshine....

Lily....lots of Lily

Her grandparents are wondering why I haven't updated the blog....especially the relatives that live out of town and don't have the pleasure of seeing her every day so here are a few recent shots of our princess Lily. As I wade through the pictures there will be lots more posts to come. We've had such a BLESSED holiday season. Can't wait to tell you about it!

Does she like costumes for Halloween?

Well, her first one....she slept through it
2nd one....she thinks it's pretty neat to look like a giraffe....
.....for a few seconds and then she was OVER it
this is what she thinks about being a giraffe
....GET THIS THING OFF OF ME!!!
and then, this year....it's not much different
I thought she would love the Ming Ming Duckling suit
(she LOVES Wonder Pets)
NOPE....they are all the same to her
So, how did we solve our costume dilema? Well, you'll have to check back tomorrow to see :)

Her first wedding

Last weekend Lily attended her first wedding and she thought it was pretty GREAT - cake, princess dresses, dancing, friends....what makes for a better day? My friend Rhonda's daughter was getting married and it was the perfect day for a wedding. Here's a peek at the celebration.

Lily sitting so attentively (didn't last long!) with Julie while we waited on the ceremony to begin
Here comes the mother of the bride (Rhonda) with her son, Josh
how sweet! Kaylin and Brodie
The bride, Jessica, with her Dad
Lily thought it was all very interesting :)
But, just minutes into the ceremony we had to take a walk
(Lily thought she needed to talk over the Pastor :) )
but we still enjoyed the beauty of the day (she loves the wind!)
and we got to visit with our friends that we worked with at Waterfront Rescue Mission
(Granny, Frankie and her husband Dave, and Jeanie)
Lily - trying to persuade Jonathan to dance with her
She was so excited to dance with the "princesses"
and we were so happy to spend some time with Julie and Jonathan
look at that smile! the "princess" was picking her up :)
 the Hodges Family
the taste test...vanilla vs chocolate....I think I'll have both
and after cake....she was ready to dance some more!
I'm obsessed with these curls :)

Gotta love....

....YARD SALES
Last weekend we went by a yard sale that had LOTS of childrens items and I felt like we hit the jackpot. I've been wanting to get Lily some princess dresses so she can play dress up and I just haven't seen any at a price that I am willing to pay....well, these were 50 cents each. YAY! (hats, gloves, shoes, dresses, even princess bracelets with long flowing fabric) We also got a baby stroller for her dolls - $2. (and to think I almost got one at Cracker Barrel the other day to give her for her birthday which was $19.99) We also got a wooden table for her bedroom so she can have tea parties - $3. So, this weekend I'm taking a friend along to introduce her to the adventure of yard sale'in :) Here are a few pictures of Lily with her "new" treasures!

this little princess needs a nap

she's going "to the store with her baby"
she's irritated b/c her purse keeping slipping off her shoulder
(stroller, baby, purse....keeping up with all that is alot of work :) )

A day in the life of Lily

If you were to take a peek at a normal day at home for Lily this is what you might see...
slouching on her chair watching Max and Ruby
and me taking lots of pictures of her funny expressions

well, you would see this too
how do I teach her not to pick her nose???
taking trips to Maw Maw's house (since she only lives 10 minutes a way) since it's a part of Lily's daily routine....it's always a joy to spend time with her!
and this is what she usually looks like on the ride home...
sleeping beauty

can you see the drool?

eating popsicles and watching Wonder Pets
Craft time
making caterpillars
torturing Naaman
pretending like she's Daddy (with his glasses on and moving the mouse)
wondering when she can take the dress off and put on her flip flops
being silly (pretty talented with her toes)
being cute (it's a daily occurence :-) )
and playing outside....on the slide
....and with the ball
torturing Naaman again (this time with the ball)
....and swinging
Life is good....especially if you get to share it with Lily :)
