Loving her grandparents

Lily has been missing her Maw Maw who has been under the weather this week.  It's funny how kids get into a routine and when things change they really recognize it!  Since Joe's mom lives only 10 minutes away we go by to visit her several times a week so every time we get in the car this week Lily says "Maw Maw"....and I have to break the news to her....."no baby, we are not going to Maw Maw's house."  It just makes me realize how blessed we are!  Joe and I have talked about how we were both very close to our grandparents and what a difference that made in our lives.  Lily has a very special place in her heart for hers too.  Our normal "routine" is to see Nana on Saturdays or Sundays and recently we have been going to the funplex that has slides so every time Lily sees a slide she says "Nana" :)  And even though Grami and Poppy live 6 hours away we can SEE them on the computer which has been great!  We registered on Skype and bought a webcam for $20 (YAY!) and the phone/video calls are free!  Technology is amazing these days.  And yes, throughout the day Lily walks over to the computer and says "Poppy" and "Gami" (Grami).

Here are some photos from the last time she got to hang out with her Maw Maw....

"Maw Maw, get well soon so we can do some of our favorite things....like 'pubbles' (puzzles)"
"I'm getting really good at them! And I still clap for myself when I put all the pieces in right."
"And I miss you reading to me..."
"And I know you must miss seeing my sweet face :)"
"Even when I'm being silly"
...or mischievous :)"
"Maw Maw, Nana, Grami and Poppy.....'come see me' "
She is so sweet when she says that!!  She holds her little arms out and says "come see me."  Can it get any sweeter than that!?  Ahhhhh, I am so in love with this girl!  And I'm so grateful that I can have a blog post about grandparents.  We are truly blessed!
