First Fall Festival(s)

Lily's Fall Fesival experiences began last Friday at Pine Grove School. We enjoyed a local Christian band and some really good chilli. Lily's favorite part of the night were the dill pickles! Then on Wednesday Maw maw invited us to her Church. Lily had a good time - Papa gave her the first bite of cotton candy and she enjoyed watching all the children run around and play. They had big inflatable bouncing toys so I took her into one and jumped for awhile (or should I say....for a very few minutes!). I don't do much jumping these days. :)
This afternoon we went to a Church near our house and enjoyed their festivities. Joe was able to visit with his previous pastor, Dr. Henry Cox, and Lily was the star of the Festival in her little giraffe costume. She makes life FUN and no matter where we are or what we are doing.... she brings joy to every situation.
First Fall Festival
(I carried her in the sling all night and realized
she REALLY does weigh 22 lbs!)

one of her favorite foods - pickles!

she was so sleepy when we left...but not too sleepy
to take her socks off before she shut her eyes :)
we didn't take the camera to Maw Maw's Fall
Festival but we took a picture when we got home -
she's our TREAT
On our way to the Festival today...
still not sure of this "thing" on her head
Daddy took it off for her and she was much happier!
She got to meet Dr. Cox

and when the sun went down she went
on her first hayride - FUN!
And she squirmed away from Mommy all night -
she's a big girl now and wants you to hold her hand
and walk her around
ate her first hotdog
and spilled her cheetos on the ground
and proceeded to eat them -
a real giraffe :)
