Let me just say that the doctor's visit was quite an experience. I'm pretty sure I'm still traumatized. They wanted to do blood work so after the nurse dug around in my baby's arm looking for a vein for several minutes (seemed like an hour) I told her to stop....that I couldn't do it and I needed to call my husband. Since Joe was dirty from working outside at our house he got his mom to meet me at the dr. office. So, while I stood out in the hallway (what a wimp I am!) Lily's Maw Maw sang to her and tried to comfort her while they found a vein. After sticking both arms and her foot, they still couldn't find a vein so they took a heel stick. My sweet baby was totally worn out after that doctor's visit. They instructed us to continue giving her Motrin and Tylenol and the virus would run it's course. Well, her fever broke on Tuesday and she broke out in a rash. I called the doctor again and they said it must be Roseola. The rash lasted for a couple of days and she is back to her normal happy self. YAY!
So, here are a few photos of some of her "first(s)" that have occurred recently.
her first fever (look at those sick little eyes)
her first rash (her expression tells how she feels about that)
first Mother's Day together (and she wasn't feelin' well)
...and MY first Mother's Day (got lots of cards, candy, stationary and a tripod)

her first fear - yes, this is a washcloth....a frog washcloth and Lily is terrified of it
first tooth (actually first TWO teeth -
one on the top and one on the bottom)
and whoever invented the "fresh food feeder" is a genius!
I've been freezing pieces of apple and bananas
and putting it in the little contraption and it brings
Lily some relief from the teething pain
