I've been reading Dr. Sears Baby Book and the chapter that I'm on right now is talking about how your baby will become more independant at this age and won't like to be held quite as much (they'll be too busy wanting to play and explore). That makes me sad....Lily is my snuggle bug and I can't imagine her not wanting to be held and cuddled. But, she is doing alot more on her own these days - sitting up by herself and playing, grabbing and playing with her toys, and lots of babbling (she must get that from her mommy!). And some of her sounds are becoming distinguishable on what she's trying to tell us. For example, when she whines and says "nee nee" thats her word for "Mommy, get me." I'm sure at some point I'll be tired of hearing "Mommy" all the time but I have to say.....right now I'm LOVIN' it!!
