Christmas Blessings...

Can it get any better?! Enjoying this season of miracles - the coming of our Messiah, our Savior, our Friend and then thanking Him for all the blessings He brings into our lives. I'm sure you all know what our greatest blessing is this year....LILY! Last week I was invited to a Mother / Daughter luncheon at my friend Ginna's house. My Mom couldn't get off work but I was able to take my mother in law and of course my daughter. (wow, I am still amazed when I say that word....I have a daughter!!) Anyway, the luncheon was so special. Claire Cloninger shared a Christmas message about "Simple Joys" and how this season is not about having everything PERFECT...it's about the PERFECT ONE, Jesus Christ. Then to my surprise, Nancy Gordon (creator of Miss Patty Cake -Children's Praise), called us to the front to sing a song of blessing over Lily. Oh my goodness....there wasn't a dry eye in the room. Nancy has the most beautiful voice and the words to this song were a beautiful prayer. I wanted to share them with you -
May blessings be upon you, precious baby
May favor rest upon your family
May your future be a holy legacy
May He bless you in your coming
May He bless you in your going
May your heart be ever knowing the blessings of the Lord
May blessings be upon your children's children
May favor rest upon your family
May blessings be upon you precious Lily

We usually have a real tree but we put up an artificial this year
(thanks to my sister in law, Tammy :-) )
The number of stockings is growing -
Naaman (kitty), Bluberry and Jake (dogs), Lily, me and Joe
Have you ever seen a cuter grin?!!! She laughed out loud for the first time this week. Joe was getting her ready for a bath and he took her diaper off and said "Oh my!" (in response to the poop) and she started laughing.
Random cute photos
This is my friend Jennifer's little boy, Blake, who was born a couple of weeks before Lily. They were hanging out together at our MOPS (mothers of pre-schoolers) meeting last week. Aren't they cute! I think Blake has a crush on Lily. :-)
Sweet Blake
This is a new discovery...she found her hands and enjoys biting them. She also rolled over by herself this week. Joe says it was in defiance of being put on her tummy but nevertheless she did it! She rolled from her stomach to her back. I can't believe she's already 9 weeks old. We went for her 2 month check up on Thursday and she's doing well - she's gained weight and grown. She now weighs 13 lbs. 2 oz. and is 25 in. long!!
