Recuperating

There hasn't been much blogging lately because we have all been suffering with the stomach flu. It has been rough! It started last Wednesday with Lily and moved on to me and Joe on Thursday (our Anniversary!) and to Maw Maw on Friday. I think the strongest out of the bunch was Lily. She bounced back after a day but it took the rest of us a few days to get back to the land of the living. Poor girl....her routine was really upset - no going to Maw Maw's house, going for walks, sitting outside in the sunshine, swinging, having Nana come over for a visit.....none of that fun stuff. She was stuck indoors until we could get off the bathroom floor :) So, the past few days we have made up for lost time. She is definitely an outdoors gal and I've realized more and more that I am too! Especially after being sick. It feels GREAT to get outside and feel the sunshine and the cool breeze and to enjoy God's beautiful creation. I decided to take the camera along for our walk a couple of days ago and got a few good shots until the battery ran out.
me and my girl perfect day for a long walk - blue skies and warm sunshine
we tried to talk Kitty into coming along with us
but...have you ever tried to talk a Kitty into doing ANYTHING
the view from our porch (beginning our walk)
down the long driveway and up the other side
This is Lily's favorite part of the walk - we go past the neighbor's house
and their dogs join us (but not until they cover Lily with kisses)
And when they stop Lily calls them to do it again (yuck!)
She thinks it is so funny!
Then as we walk along she likes to point to everything
and tries her best to say it "tee"
Daddy says these are weeds but me and Lily call them flowers :)
This is about the time the battery gave out but I know we have many more walks to go on together and we'll finish our story at a later time :) The weather is cooling off a little bit and our walks are getting better and better. How could you not have a GREAT time if you are spending it with Lily!
