Her serious side

What was life like without her?! She makes me laugh and I just love being with her. She's changing so much....day by day. Like this morning when she was eating her breakfast, she's reached a point where she really wants to feed herself! I've started putting finger foods on her highchair tray and she takes care of business....well, some lands in her lap or on the floor but she's doing a great job. Today she had cantaloupe for the first time and she likes the little cereal pieces they make for babies (that dissolve easily in her mouth). The newest sound that she's working on is "ga." She's got "da da" and "na na" down pat and I'm waiting patiently for "ma ma."

One of the things that I adore about Lily is her sense of humor. She loves to laugh and for you to laugh with her. I got some of the best kisses today from this sweet girl (open mouth kisses of course). She likes to grab my face with both of her hands and just plant one on me. It's messy but I love it! Lily also has a "serious side" and I get a kick out of it....she really studies things. I noticed that about her since she was just a couple of months old. You'll see her serious side in some of these photos...
sweet smiling girl ....and serious
loves her Maw Maw and they are always laughing
I didn't keep Blake last week and I really missed him. So did Lily. She was so happy to see him yesterday and they are really beginning to interact and play together. They always have to be touching each other. I have to constantly be watching them because they will grab each other's nose, ear, etc. Here Lily has his knee. :)
"Did you poot or was that me?"
Here's a series of Lily being serious and studying her monkey. It's been in her crib the whole time but this is the first time that she's actually looked at it and played with it. Guess that shows that she doesn't spend much time in her crib :) Anyway, she didn't notice me watching her (and taking pictures).....
....she's really checking him out
....she was so focused on it that I startled her when I called her name
Love this outfit.....if you can't see it, it says "when God created me He was showing off"
I'm pretty sure Lily said "dog" this morning when we were talking to Blu. Joe doesn't believe me but I could've sworn she said it. So, here's our Blu dog...that we are trying to find a good home for. If anyone is reading this blog and wants a really good dog, call me!
