6 months!!

I can't believe it's been 6 months already but then again it seems like so much longer that we've loved this sweet baby girl. There have been so many magical moments since God first gave us this gift. From the precious moments of having her fall asleep in my arms to watching her see things for the first time and listening to all her new sounds and giggles. She is the joy of our life!
She loves to be outdoors and play with the animals. Actually she likes to grab Naaman's tail and try to get Bluberry by the ears. She likes sitting outside in her swing and watching her Daddy do....whatever he does outside. (garden, fix things, etc.) She loves to be with her Mommy and play peek a boo. We love to snuggle and she usually ends up in our bed every night. (which is ok with us) She isn't sitting up by herself yet but she can do it for a few seconds without toppling over. She can roll over but doesn't do it very often but she loves to stand up. I'm convinced she's going to walk before she crawls. She likes to grab things and touch people's faces. She's doing really well with a sippy cup. We usually have water in it but today I put a little taste of apple juice for her and she likes it.
We went for her 6 month check up and she is still growing and doing well. My family and friends in Olive Branch were giving me a hard time over Easter weekend saying that I'm starving the poor child b/c I'm not giving her alot of solid food yet....mostly just breastmilk. So, I want y'all to know that according to her weight she's still in the 75% of babies her age and her height is still off the charts. :) The doctor said that I can start feeding her veggies and fruit more frequently so I plan to do that. I decided to make my own baby food since it is better for her and it's so much cheaper. My pastor's wife gave me the tip - cook and blend the food and then pour it in ice trays, let it freeze and then store in individual bags for perfect serving sizes. For the past few days she has been eating butternut squash and sweet potatoes. She likes them both.
Here are the measurements from today - 17 lbs. 7 oz. and 28 1/4 in.
And here are some photos of her sweetness :)

Her Daddy is still amazed every time he looks at her!
And her Mommy is still cherishing every kiss and cuddle!
This is our sleeping beauty when she was a week old.
Can't believe how much she's changed!

But she's still soft and cuddly!
She was our little Easter bunny
Some of her expressions haven't changed....
Just the volume :)
